Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

The September 11th attack upon the United States created a greatly enhanced need for security systems at airports throughout the country.

Western Industrial Contractors was selected by the Boeing/Siemens Dematic team to provide project management, logistical support and field installation of explosive detection systems (EDS) and explosive trace detection (ETD) equipment in more than 75 airports throughout the contiguous United States, Hawaii, Guam and the Marianas Islands.

The various systems included both “stand alone” applications and full baggage handling systems integrations. In addition, Western Industrial Contractors has provided executive management consulting to the Siemens team, establishing and implementing program strategy and deployment logistics. Our management and field staff are extremely proud to be a part of this very important national deployment.
