Plant Modernization
As material handling equipment and technology continually change, plant modernization is inevitable for all industries. Western Industrial Contractors provides fully integrated plant modernization by removing obsolete equipment then installing and integrating new mechanization.
Recent Plant Modernization performed by Western Industrial Contractors involved removing mail handling equipment and structural steel from United States Postal Service (USPS) Bulk Mail Centers (BMC) to allow for the installation of new conveyor systems, sorters and applicable feed and support equipment. This Program also included the relocation and modernization of the Central Control Room and Computer Room. This entire Program was completed in a live facility allowing the USPS to continue its normal mail processing activities. |
