Redirection of Inbound Conveyor A large component of plant modernization and system integration involves the redirection of conveyors. As equipment is removed from a facility the conveyor systems that previously fed the equipment require rerouting. Western Industrial Contractors has completed conveyor redirection projects to allow the United States Postal Service (USPS) to feed mail from inbound docks to secondary sorters (PSM-3 & PSM-4) due to the removal of primary sorters (PSM-1 & PSM-2) through Plant Modernization. This allows the USPS to reduce processing time by avoiding the double handing of mail and directing mail to sorting equipment located closer to outbound docks. |
