Plant Modernization
Western has the capability to provide turnkey solutions for plant modernization or green field projects. Our capabilities include specification development, design, layout, drawing creation and fabrication. 24 oz Can Line
Western installed a new 24 oz can line in Monticello, Indiana for the Metal Beverage Packaging Division of the Ball Corporation. The installation included a new cupper, bodymaker, trimmer, washer, decorator, sprayer, necker, inspection equipment and all the supporting conveyor.
Can End Line
Western installed a new can end line in Golden, Colorado for the Metal Beverage Packaging Division of the Ball Corporation. The line added needed capacity for increased demand and a more centralized manufacturing location. The installation included the uncoiler, formatic shell press, ovens, conversion press, autobaggers, and all ancillary equipment and conveyance.
Conveyor Modernization
Rocky Mountain Metal Container upgraded their can conveyor to a more efficient and reliable system. In a short window of 10 days, Western removed approximately 2,000 feet of conveyor and installed 2,300 feet of new conveyor while the factory continued to operate. The project was executed flawlessly and the plant was running cans on the new conveyor ahead of schedule.
